Week 7: Wong Gets Stuffed
Snow Cones and Mr. Dub stay red hot thanks to massive weeks from Werenski and Rantanen! Meanwhile, Ruvo has his turk cut out for him.
Week 7 Recap
Undefeated no more! After six straight wins to start the season, the California King has finally been defeated. Lexie’s victory sure was legit, winning the matchup against Kendall 199.1-195.7. With that, Team Wong falls to third place, sitting at 6-1 behind Mr. Dub and Snow Cones on points. Lexie’s Legit moves into 8th.
Zach Werenski’s five point night last Thursday powered Snow Cones to a convincing win over Team Weinstein. The Swiss phenom is looking a formidable foe this season, now in 2nd place at 6-1. Mr. Dub also had a massive win over Katelyn, proving he means business as he continues to search for his first championship in the salary cap draft era (last Cup was 2017/18).
Jordan’s solid start to the season also continues after Philly’s Elite easily defeated the Washington Hockey Team. Jordan is now solidly in 7th place with a 4-3 record, just behind Katelyn, Mark, and myself.
Zach falls to 1-6. Yikes. The brew has officially gone bad.
Last year, six of the eight playoff teams were in the 1-8 spots by Christmas. It is crunch time for those of you in 9th-14th. Don’t wait too long to check out the waiver wire and initiate some trades!
Here are the full standings after seven weeks of play:

Week 8 Preview: Battle for 1st
The biggest matchup of the season is upon us! 1st place Mr. Dub goes to battle with 2nd place Snow Cones! The league’s two hottest teams are set for a heavyweight bout that may prove to be the most exciting featured matchup of the year! Sole possession of first place may be on the line depending on how Team Wong responds against Lou’s Still Clueless.
Commish Notes
The Washington Hockey Team, managed by Henry, received a much deserved rebrand this past week. It consists of two logo iterations with a modernization of the classic W logo and a star to celebrate our league’s inaugural Maryland All-Stars Cup champion. Check it out!
