For the first time in the history of the Maryland All-Stars Cup Championship Finals, it will be Weinstein vs. Weinstein.
Mr. Dub eased past Ian’s Chelsea Dagger 343.2-250.8 to book his spot back in the finals! He has now made the top-2 in 10 of the league’s 15 seasons. A truly historic feat.
Ian’s incredible season falls just short, but it will never be forgotten. This was truly a breakout year for the Michigan Man and one that will only make him stronger! This is Ian’s first loss since January 12th, leaving him tied for the 4th longest winning streak in the history of the league. Well done, Kwant!
Team Weinstein dominated Snow Cones in one of his most impressive victories of the season, winning 363.9-246.1. This was Mark’s second week in a row putting up over 360 points as he continues to live up to the legend of Gordon Bombay.
Championship Preview
There is no sugar coating this… Mr. Dub and Mark were the two best managers of the two best teams this season. As the Montgomery and Gordon Bombay Trophy winners, they each had a 56% of winning it all at the start of the playoffs and proved that the odds were indeed in their favor. They have lived up to the hype!
The men from Carmel Ct. split their regular season series and held the top-2 spots in the standings for the majority of the year. Mr. Dub leads Mark with 3 championship titles to his 2, but Mark has a 13-10 lead in the all-time series over his pops.
“Gonna be frosty at Carmel Court this week!” - Mr. Dub
The stakes are simple. If Mr. Dub wins, he will cement his goat status with 4 Cups (two better than the next team). If Mark wins, however, he will tie Mr. Dub’s Cup record and do so in a shorter amount of time. Woah.
There are 5-cups between them. Who is taking home #6?
